Most features are available in both variants. The Lite variant (free) includes live preview, fullscreen editor, version history, PNG export, and all 6 diagram types. Is my diagram content sent to ZenUML servers during rendering?
No. All diagram rendering — ZenUML sequence, Mermaid, PlantUML, OpenAPI, and Embed types — happens entirely in the browser. Your diagram source code never leaves your Confluence instance during the rendering process. Only DrawIO syncs canvas state to Cloudflare-backed storage as part of its own integration.
Can I export diagrams to PNG or PDF?
Yes. PNG export is available in all variants from both view mode and edit mode. PDF export is available in the Full variant. Both formats are generated client-side from the rendered diagram — no server round-trip required.
How does the AI diagram generation feature work?
The AI generation feature, available in the Lite variant via Diagramly AI, lets you describe a diagram in plain text or paste page content, and it produces a diagram code draft. You can then edit and refine the generated code in the live editor before saving. The AI call goes to Diagramly AI endpoints — review the privacy policy for data handling details.
What does "Diagram as Code" mean for my team?
All diagram types except DrawIO store diagrams as plain text source code in Confluence custom content.
